The government will allocate 5.4 billion rubles for the development of children’s center “Artek”

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev approved a program for the development of the international children’s center “Artek” for the years 2015-2020, said on Thursday the official website of the Russian government.

“The program provides for the development of ICC” Artek “as an independent educational system that ensures the child to self-determination, self-realization and development,” - said in a statement.

Notes that the objectives of the program - the creation of innovative recreational and educational space, development and implementation of educational technologies that are designed to qualitatively new educational results corresponding to modern challenges.

Also planned development of the international components of an ICC “Artek”.

The program provides overhaul of “Artek”, reconstruction, construction of camps for children and obschelagernyh objects.

Following the results of the implementation of this document is planned to increase the number of tourists in children “Artek” to 46 thousand. Per year (in 2014 it was 6 shifts with a total of 5860 children from 14 countries).

“The total need for funding of the Program - 5400,3mln rubles. In the state program” Development of Education “for 2013-2020″, - said in a statement.

Updating and development of infrastructure ICC “Artek” will be financed within the framework of the Federal Target Program “Social and economic development of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol until 2020″.
