Since January 1, 2008 walk with a dog in Moscow will cost $ 1000. The alternative - to carry a shovel and clean up after pet.

Such a rule already existed before, but included a ridiculous penalty - 15 rubles. And for all the time of application of this rule, no owner of the dog was not penalized. Moscow’s new Code of Administrative Offenses, adopted today at a meeting of the Moscow City Duma, provides for a fine of $ 500 up to 1000 rubles for the owners of dogs that allow fouling public places.

Semennikov believes that the imposition of a fine of this size would make the capital lawns cleaner.

“Owners of dogs will now be to walk their dogs or with sovochkom to remove feces, or a thousand rubles to pay the fine,” - said the deputy.

The Code also introduces fines for walking dogs in the educational institutions, playgrounds and hospitals. For this animal’s owner could be fined as the amount of 500 to 1000 rubles.
